My First Experience with the Wii

On Monday I received a Wii in the mail as a birthday present. Mike set it up for me and we played the Sports games for an hour and a half. We were sweating, my arms were shaking it was awesome. Too bad when I did the fitness test, it set me at age 52 or something lame like that.

On Tuesday morning I woke up and played the game again for my morning exercise. I did about 40 minutes of it. I got age 30 on the fitness test this time. I also hit 8 homeruns out of 10 or something obnoxious like that on the test. Crazy!

On Tuesday afternoon I could feel the soreness coming along. Not too terrible, but enough to make me whine a bit, and discourage me from laughing. My shoulders were sore, my arms, and my abs. I ended up buying the EA Action Sports package after work with a gift card I got from Andrea, so I could start an actual fitness regime. But it would have to wait until Wednesday morning because I had dinner with my future mother in law. :-)

This morning I woke up at 6, and immediately turned the alarm to go off at 6:45am instead. This was because I was INCREDIBLY SORE by this point and could not even imagine doing a fitness regime. My back got more sore, my arms are really sore now, and the core part is also pretty sore. It pretty much hurts to lift my arm to my mouth (good for discouraging me to eat right? hahah. Jk). Yes, I am pathetic.

Tonight I have a house warming party to go to, so I will be unable to try out the Wii EA Action sports. Plus I can barely move, so that is another reason I won't be doing it tonight. Once I get it started I will give a review. So far, the sports package that comes with it, is super intense if you do it for more than 2 hours in the course of 24 hours.

I have not had time to upload a picture of the ring yet. I am waiting on Mike's mom to give me pictures of the engagement. I have one of us at a bar after the engagement and the champagne toast at home. But it is not as cute as when we got officially engaged. heheh.

Has anyone else gotten incredibly sore from playing Wii? Am I just pathetic?

The wii age thing is lame! i think they lie on the first couple but once you get the balance part right, your age drops dramatically. bowling and tennis makes me sore in the arms because of the weird muscle groups... so much fun though!

Well, I have not played it but I have watched the kids have a great time with it. Just not really my thing...
